I did a tiny bit of crafting on the 31st. I needed to finish the handmade for the Hot Beverages swap and get it in the mail. All I needed to do was embroider on the roses to the mug rug and I had put if off for a month. The embroidery was actually pretty simple and straight forward. Here's how it turned out.

My knitting really tapered off at the end of the year when the reading bug hit me head on. That's okay, I'm really enjoying reading again. I hope I can keep it up so there probably won't be a lot of crafting posts this year. I did make a 2025 wrap up video of all my projects I'll see if I can get it to embed correctly in the blog. I can never seem to get it to work correctly.

The mug rug is lovely and reading is great when you get the chance, so enjoy it while you are in the mood 😊
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying reading. For me it's audiobooks. Still makes me chuckle to remember in the early days of Kindles that my library thought ebooks will be only a small part of their checkouts. Sadly for me is that my vocabulary is probably taking a hit since I no longer see words but mainly hear them. You made lots of beautiful projects in 2025.
ReplyDeleteThe roses on the mug rug are very sweet. I've been getting back into reading and I'm seeing the dilemma ahead - do I read or do I do handcrafts? If I listen to audio books I find my mind drifts - and I love having a book in my hands and reading the words. "I understand you" is what I'm trying to say. ;^)
