Knitting, Sci-fi and other stuff...

      I thought I'd do a quick review of my Year of Projects.  I started participating around week 5 so I'm summing up my year from that point to present.  I have 24 project entries on Ravelry.  (If I do several dishcloths back-to-back, I usually only make one project entry, so there are more than 24 individual finished items.  Direct Link to Goal Post:  YOP first post   I finished: -3 pairs of fingerless mitts -2 pairs of mittens -2 pairs of socks -5 hats -2 cowls -2 baby blankets -16 dishcloths -1 potholder -1 shawl I have one sock that's going to be frogged and half of another dishcloth that's sitting around because I ran out of that colorway of yarn.  I do have a few other WIPs still hanging about from prior to August of last year.  (We're going to keep pretending they don't exist.) This years fair has come and gone. We didn't get to attend quite as many days as I would have liked. It turned into a pretty busy week with family time and a much needed staycation for me. I was able to submit nine entries total to this years exhibitions. I think I did quite well overall. I'll try to list these items in order as far as to when I completed them. First up in the child's hat category is a colorwork hat  Prism , in three colors of Malabrigo Arroyo. In the adult hat category another Prism, but with the colorwork charts worked a bit differently. This was an incredibly fun pattern to knit.  It's by TinCanKnits and has a ton of color variations.  I absolutely love all of this groups patterns, they are extremely well written and worth the money for the paid patterns.
