The shifters are gryphons, which was a first for me. There is a pack dynamic with them, which I liked. Each of the guys have a little bit different relationship with the FMC Cordelia. Cordelia believes she is cursed. At a young age her parents abandoned her and she was raised by her aunt. After her aunt passes from cancer Cordie pickes up and moves to an upstate NY college town in an attempt to have a life. It was her aunts dying wish for Cordie to live her dreams.
